We’ve got news! A new integration between Microsoft and Genially has just been launched. In addition to the different integration possibilities that already exist, such as using Genially with Teams or with OneNote, you can now integrate Genially with Word. From now on, your geniallys can be displayed in Word documents. Amazing, right?
Let’s look at all the integration possibilities so you know what you can achieve with the joint capabilities of Genially and Microsoft. There are no limits to what you can do!
Microsoft and Genially
If you don’t know what it is, the term “integration between tools” may sound complex, but it’s simpler than it seems. Integration allows two tools to communicate with each other, enhancing their joint capabilities.
The possibilities each integration allows depends on the type of tools we are using. In this case, the connection allows you to sign in to Genially with your Microsoft 365 account, as well as a number of other possibilities designed to allow you to share your amazing content in a simple way.
Imagine: You create an amazing genially, and with just a couple of clicks, your entire team can instantly see it. It’s that easy. You don’t need to send emails with new content or updates, or give people access to different documents and workspaces.
That’s why integrations save time and effort, and it’s even better when you’re working with tools in the cloud, as in this case. Everything is available and up-to-date in just one click!
In this webinar, you can learn about the integrations between Genially, Microsoft Teams, and One Note, and how to get the most out of them.
Integration with Microsoft
Sign in to Genially with your Microsoft 365 account
The first advantage of the integration between Genially and Microsoft is the ability to register and sign on to Genially with your Microsoft 365 account. That way, you avoid having to fill in your registration data on Genially because the information is automatically gathered from your Microsoft account – way more convenient for you!
Integrate Genially + Word
This integration makes it possible to put a genially in a Word document – while preserving its interactivity and animation effects, of course. It works in the online version of Word for all Microsoft 365 accounts and with any Genially plan.
All you need to do to put your genially in Word is to copy the link to your genially and paste it into an online Word document. It’s that easy!
We suggest that you use this feature every time you have to send text in a document. I’m sure you’ve heard that we’re reading less and less, right? Make it easier! Adding interactive content makes it easier and more fun for your audience. And, if you add animation too, it’s almost impossible to resist clicking!
Now getting your audience to read all the content from start to finish will be a breeze. Just add a genially to your online Word document!
Integrate Genially + Microsoft Teams
Have you created an incredible genially? Share it with your entire team. Just click “Share” and click “Others” to display the “Microsoft Teams” option. You can choose to share it on one of your Teams channels or turn your genially into a task.
This integration lets you communicate with your entire team instantly and securely. You can put your creations within reach of your coworkers with a couple of clicks and without even leaving Genially. In addition to amazing others with your awesome content, you’re also boosting team-wide interaction and productivity.
Integrate Genially + OneNote
You’re already using Microsoft OneNote, right? If you don’t know what it is, OneNote is a collaborative, cloud-based blank notebook. It’s an ideal space for teamwork, keeping all ideas in the same place. It makes it possible (and easy!) to make the most of the collective intelligence of an entire group.
Want the whole team to see your latest genially? Easy! Click “Share” on the Genially dashboard, paste the link into any area of your OneNote dashboard, and press “Enter.”
This integration makes it easy for you to organize and distribute your content to your work team or classroom. As always, interactivity is your ace up your sleeve to enhance your audience’s experience.
Import a PowerPoint and transform it in Genially
Want to turn a PowerPoint into awesome interactive content? Go ahead! With a Pro, Master, or Team plan, you can import your PowerPoint into Genially and add interactivity, animation, or any resources you want. With Genially, you can transform static content into an interactive, dynamic resource in just a few minutes. You’ll leave your audience stunned!
Genially and Flipgrid
In Flipgrid, the social learning application where students provide their answers in video format, Genially has its own space full of activities for all ages and to learn any subject. In addition, new activities are continually being added to enhance both teaching and learning.
If you usually share content with a team or educational group, you’ve probably thought about a thousand ways to take advantage of the power of these integrations. Everything you need to share content and always get the most recent version to be displayed you now have a click away.
Look at these examples to inspire you even more:
In the classroom:
Create a task list with OneNote to show students the list of course readings. What if you add an interactive description of each book? Each of them can include their name in their notebook and convert the reading list to an index.
Interactive content will make the list much more attractive. You’re sure to impress your students and get them to read all the books! Here are some templates to inspire you:

In a workplace:
Create a genially for year or quarter planning. You can make it available to everyone on your team by sharing a single link instead of one or more files. Best of all, you don’t have to send it again every time you update it. Save time and effort.
You can also share a presentation on results or any other topic. What do you think of these templates?
April Joy Macadangdang-Perez, principal educational designer at the University of Miami, combines OneNote and Genially to create amazing digital portfolios. In her own words:
“Genially integrates very easily. It’s an intelligent tool that can interact in almost any digital space imaginable: Learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools, cloud presentation tools, Twitter, and now OneNote.
When two different tools integrate seamlessly, it helps designers create rich interactive content. In this example, Genially and OneNote are used as tutorials to create a great digital portfolio.”
Did you know about these integration possibilities? We hope you get the most out of them!
